Evercore seeks to hire Strategic, Defense & Shareholder Advisory Summer Analysts in New York for Summer of 2027.
The Evercore Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program designed to provide highly motivated undergraduates with a strong interest in investment banking, shareholder activism and corporate governance. The Program seeks intelligent, mature individuals with the desire and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and learn on the job. In addition, Summer Analysts must demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have the intellectual desire to learn and work hard.
As part of the Program, Summer Analysts will provide value-add analysis and research as part of the Strategic, Defense & Shareholder Advisory team within the Advisory business. In this role, the Analyst will create materials regarding hostile activity, shareholder activism, shareholder engagement and corporate governance for use in client presentations, internal meetings, and marketing initiatives. The Analyst will work on live activism and raid defense situations, contested M&A and special committee assignments, as well as perform analysis on identifying companies' potential vulnerabilities to activist shareholders or potential acquirers. The Analyst will work alongside M&A coverage groups and gain exposure to a diverse range of experiences across multiple industries.

What are the Specific Qualifications?
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
• Finance or Accounting major (preferred)
• Intellectual curiosity with an interest in finance and shareholder activism
• Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
• Be ambitious, self-directed, creative and resourceful
• An excellent, team-based attitude
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Relentless work ethic and high energy level
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
• Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
